LEED DESK Dependencies
Issue Tracker: RMT-3930
There are 2 dependencies currently in LEED DESK:
- Adobe PDF Reader (32 bit only)
- Air Runtime from Harman (previously from Adobe)
Since these are out of our control, newer versions or 64 bit architecture of these dependencies are causing problems. These are now known issues to us.
Workaround:
Solution to downgrade to compatible dependencies:
1) For Adobe PDF Reader:
- User needs to uninstall Adobe PDF Reader (64 bit).
- User needs to download and install Adobe PDF Reader (32 bit).
- Once installed, forms will open correctly in LEED Desk without a black background.
Install the 32-bit version of Adobe Reader:
- Go to Adobe Reader Download
- Click "More download options”
- Select Operating System, English, then select `Reader 2025.001.20432 English for Windows`, without 64.
- Uncheck the McAfee options.
- Click Download Acrobat Reader
NOTE:- As Adobe announced in their blog post at the end of May 2019, HARMAN have taken on the platform support and feature development of the AIR software. Following the end of 2020, Adobe are no longer supporting this or providing the AIR runtimes so HARMAN are now exclusively providing the AIR runtime and SDK.
Package with an ".air" extension required to install the AIR runtime for desktop platform, which will then recognise the air package and install this onto your computer. See AIR Runtimes
